Patriotic Degree (4th) Uniform Code

There are THREE Uniforms specific to the Patriotic Degree

1. Social Dress Uniform (SDU)

Ref: Laws & Rules Governing the 4^th Degree of the K of C, as amended, June 10, 2017
The SDU uniform shall be:

Dark suit * (black, blue, or dark gray)
Plain white dress shirt w/button cuffs (no French cuffs or button-down collar)
Conservative/Traditional style necktie (no bowtie or bolo-tie)
Plain white dress shirt w/button cuffs (no French cuffs or button-down collar)
Plain black shoes
Plain black socks
Plain black belt
Official 4^th Degree Lapel Pin (PG-113) worn centered on the lapel at the level of the buttonhole
Incumbent Medal of Office worn under the shirt collar
Miniature ribbons for Past & Former Offices worn above the left pocket
Official 4th degree Social Baldric, attached to trousers, from right shoulder to left, worn over the tie
Name badge optional
White gloves optional
NO SWORDS PERMITTED

*Note that the term is suit, which generally means the coat and trousers are of the same material and color. The term suit is not interpreted to mean sport coat and trousers where either the colors or materials are different from one another.

SPECIAL NOTE Until further notice-during the pandemic, wearing a protective face mask may be necessary while wearing the SDU uniform. The face mask shall be a “plain black mask” with black elastic ear loops. To keep with uniformity standards no other color or special design mask may be worn with the SDU uniform.

2. Social (ORD-SOC) Uniform

Ref: Laws & Rules Governing the 4^th Degree of the K of C, as amended, June 10, 2017

The ORD-SOC uniform shall be:

Official 4^th Degree Navy Blue Blazer w/4^th Degree Emblem Crest and K of C Emblem of the Order Buttons;

Official 4^th Degree Gray Trousers, w/no cuff;

Official 4^th Degree Necktie;

Plain white dress shirt w/button cuff (no French cuffs or button-down collar);

Plain black shoes;

Plain black socks;

Plain black belt;

Official 4^th Degree Lapel Pin (PG-113) worn centered on the lapel at the level of the buttonhole;

Incumbent Medal of Office worn under the shirt collar;

Miniature ribbons for Past/Former Offices worn above left pocket;

NO NAME BADGE PERMITTED.

NOTE

The Official 4^th Degree Social Baldric is not worn w/ORD-SOC.

3. Service (ORD-SER) Uniform

The ORD-SER shall be:

Official 4^th Degree Navy Blue Blazer w/4^th Degree Emblem Crest and K of C Emblem of the Order Buttons;

Official 4^th Degree Gray Trousers w/no cuff;

Official 4^th Degree Necktie;

Official 4^th Degree Black Beret w/4^th Degree Metal Badge and colored patches as appropriate;

Plain white dress shirt w/button cuffs (no French cuffs or button-down collar);

Plain black shoes;

Plain black socks;

Plain black belt;

Official 4^th Degree Lapel Pin (PG-113) worn centered on the lapel at the level of the buttonhole;

Incumbent Medal of Office worn under the shirt collar;

Miniature ribbons for Past/Former Offices worn above left pocket;

NO NAME BADGE PERMITTED;

Official 4^th Degree Service Baldric worn over the coat, from right shoulder to left hip;

Sliver sword;

White gloves;
